Your driving instructor throughout the course will be Ray Pollard.
Cheques are accepted with a valid guarantee card made payable to Raymond Pollard and payment should be made at the commencement of each lesson. Should a cheque not be honoured, i.e. returned, a charge of £10 will be made to cover bank charges. A 10% discount is given when pre-payment is made for 10 lessons or more. In the case of a pre-paid discount being given, the full number of lessons must be paid for at the commencement of the course. No refund will be given for lessons not taken.
Should you find it necessary to CANCEL a lesson you must give 48 HOURS NOTICE, except in the case of illness. If the required NOTICE IS NOT GIVEN THE LESSON MUST BE PAID FOR. As we usually have a waiting list should you not take lessons for three weeks, without notice, we shall presume you no longer wish to carry on and your name will be taken off our records.
Tuition for the Theory Test is free and on-going with the practical lessons. Your instructor will advise you when you should put in an application to take the Theory or Practical Driving Test.
Your Driving Instructor is registered with the Driving Standards Agency Code of Practice, a copy of which was enclosed with your provisional licence.
It is expected that pupils will use the School Car for the Practical Test.
The Theory Test Centre is in Scarborough and this test must be passed before the practical driving test can be taken. You will need to take your certificate from the written test with you on the practical test. The practical driving test must be passed within two years of passing the Theory test.
You will not be given a full licence until you have passed both parts of the test. Your Instructor will advise you when to apply for the Theory and Practical Tests.
